(andPOP) - About 400 fans gathered at Chumash Indian Casino, near the Neverland ranch, on Friday to celebrate Michael Jackson's not guilty verdict. However, the pop-star was nowhere in sight and has not been seen publicly since his child molestation trial ended last week.

Jackson, 46, faced up to 20 years in prison if convicted, and his lawer said the pop singer is resting and recovering from the 2 years of court dates.

The party was billed as a celebration of thanks, according to reports from the Chicago Tribune and Washington Post.

Katherine Jackson, Michael's mother, his sister Janet and brother Tito all expressed their gratitude towards the vigilant fans.

"We couldn't have done it without you," said Katherine. "I want to thank everybody for the love and support you've shown my brother and our family," said Janet.

Juror Pauline Coccoz was also among the crowd of supporters. The 45-year-old said she almost erupted into tears when they started to play "Beat It."

Defense attorney Robert Sanger and a magician called Majestic Magnificient, a friend of the singer, also made appearances.

Members of the media were barred from the show. An Associated Press reporter snuck in but was thrown out.
