(andPOP) - Paula Abdul returned to hosting her weekly American Idol segment on Entertainment Tonight Monday, but said very little about the allegations brought on by former contestant Corey Clark.

She spoke about her Saturday Night Live appearance, where she told Amy Poehler, who was acting like Abdul, to act sexier if she wanted to attract contestants (Her acting was horrible and she clearly was reading off a cue card).

On ET, Abdul explained why she followed in the footsteps of Paris Hilton and appeared on SNL after being involved in controversy.

"I think every artist wants to do Saturday Night Live, especially when they're the biggest news story of the week," she said. But that's all she would say.

Clark, who was dismissed early from American Idol's second season after producers uncovered his criminal past, told ABC's Primetime Live during a "Fallen Idol" special last week that he had an affair with Abdul while on the show.

Abdul has only offered a non-denial denial, saying she didn't want to dignify the allegations with a response.

Another former Idol contestant, Trenyce, also appeared on ET and said that she had an affair with Clark while the two were contestants on the show.

"Corey and I had a friendship that turned intimate," she said. "It was what it was."
