Jose Canseco to Battle Omarosa in Surreal Life

(andPOP) - Following in the legacy of Gary Coleman and a washed up New Kid, disgraceful former juiced up baseball player Jose Canseco will join the cast of the next season of the Surreal Life.

Canseco, who got the rare opportunity to promote his book in congress this month, will join former Apprentice contestant Omarosa, Sandi Denton (Pepa from Salt-n-Pepa), Perfect Strangers actor Bronson Pinchot, model Caprice, former model Janice Dickinson, and motorcross champion Cory Hart.

This will be the fifth season of the VH1 show, which featured B-list (at best) celebrities competing in challenges while living together for a few weeks in Califnornia.

Shows have already begun taping. The season premiere is set for September 4.
