(andPOP) - Mere weeks after the Mozilla Foundation released FireFox 1.0.1 to patch an International Domain Name flaw, a new 1.0.2 release came out this week fixing a newly discovered GIF buffer overflow. If a hacker is able to exploit this security hole, it would allow them to take control of the individuals computer.
GIF is a file format developed by CompuServe back in the 1980s that compresses images for faster downloading on the Internet.
