(andPOP) - If you've jumped ship in the last few months from the popular Internet Explorer browser to the more secure, less spyware-riden FireFox, you've probably noticed your stress levels have come down quite a bit.
The Mozilla Foundation has released a security update to FireFox this week to close some flaws that are described as moderately critical to not critical.
The release fixes vulnerabilities in the International Domain Name standard (IDN), which allowed an attacker to execute a phishing scam. A phishing scam is where a user visits a web site that appears to be legitimate, but instead sends the sensitive data to the attacker.
Users can download the update by visiting
Mozilla.org. It is available for Mac OS X, Linux and Windows.
