(andPOP) - The third movie in the Blade series, ?Blade: Trinity,? being released this weekend, is getting beaten up by the critics. If only producers had the support of the half human/half vampire Blade to help them devour their harsher detractors, they may have a glimmer of hope.

But not even Wesley Snipes, the actor who plays Blade, wants anything to do with the movie.

Snipes is refusing to do any interviews to promote the film, and did not show up for the red carpet premiere Tuesday night.

He is in Romania, where Blade producer David S. Goyer says Snipes will be shooting three movies. His current project is not aligned with any studio.

Once one of the most sought after actors, Snipes? career hit a road block. His movies rarely gross something to be proud of, and he has been hit with many personal lawsuits.

Blade actors like Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel were told that their official response to a question about Snipes? demeanor was that he stayed in character at all times on set. In other words, he wanted nothing to do with them.

The WWE?s Triple H, who battles Reynold?s character in one scene, told TSN?s Off the Record last week that he was told by studio executives to give that answer, but he had a different one. Triple H said he actually got along with Snipes, probably because he?s bigger than him.
