(andPOP) - Da Brat's first single off "Limelite, Luv, & Niteclubz" is the up-tempo "In Love Wit Chu." The song immediately became a hit, and this album received high hopes. However, the rest of the material on the album is weak, slow, and boring.
The talents, and yes, she still has some talent, of Mariah Carey is wasted on the dreadful "Gotta Thing for You." Such is also the case on "I Was the One," featuring rising star Anthony Hamilton, who is forced to hold back so Da Brat could show off her tiresome fast rhymes.
