Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - There were 2 main complaints about Ashanti's debut album: She said "baby" too much and Ja Rule appeared way too many times.
With "Chapter II," she learned to keep Ja Rule at a distance. She still says "baby" way too much, but whatchagunnado?
A lot of the album makes no sense. The several skits are not funny and will leave you confused. The song "Shany's World" is another mind boggler that'll hurt your brain. Don't think too much about it; just let it be.
"I Found Lovin'" is unique from all her other tracks. It doesn?t have the same R&B vibe that the others have, but rather it is more like something that was left behind in the 80s. The jazzy "The Story of 2" also has that non-R&B feel to it that enhances the album.
This shows another side to Ashanti, a side that proves she can do more than just repeat "baby" a hundred times.
