Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Ashanti debuts at number one on the Billboard album sales chart this week, making "Chapter II" her second number one album. She sold 326,000 copies in the U.S. this week, which was less than the 502,000 copies she sold of her debut album last year in its first week.
Beyonce Knowles' "Dangerously in Love," which is nearing Gold status, sold 183,000 copies this week, falling to number two after debuting in the top spot last week.
Luther Vandross, Michelle Branch, and 50 Cent round out the top 5.
It was a much different story in Canada however, as Sean Paul's Dutty Rock sold the most copies. In the U.S., he was in 17th place.
U.S. leader Ashanti sold fewer than 7000 copies to finish fifth in Canada behind Paul, Knowles, Metallica, and Norah Jones.
