(andPOP) - Avril Lavigne, Our Lady Peace, and Treble Charger won two awards each at the 2003 MuchMusic Video Awards, presented in Toronto Sunday night.
SARS was a non-issue, as several A-list stars filled the MuchMusic environment. Performances included Ashanti, Sean Paul, Simple Plan, and Michelle Branch, who cancelled a Toronto concert in May. Ray Romano, Mya, and Chris Jericho were some of the presenters.
Lavigne, whose falling

pants were the story of last year's awards, didn't let fate take its course again. Instead, she voluntarily dropped her pants, revealing that she had "MMVA" written on her rear end. Photos of her actions from Sunday have shown up in UK tabloids and will be in some U.S. magazines next week.
