Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - 8 artists received 5 nominations for the 2003 Grammy Awards, it was announced in New York Tuesday.
Avril Lavigne, Norah Jones, Eminem and Bruce Springsteen lead the way with nominations in the record, song and album of the year categories. Also having 5 are Nelly, Sheryl Crow, Ashanti and Raphael Saadiq.
The Canadian Lavigne was nominated for Song of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.
"I would have freaked out if I just had one, now that I have five -- I'm just trying to pinch myself," Lavigne said at the announcement.
Winnipeg's Remy Shand received four nominations, including Best R&B Song and Best R&B Album.
"This outstanding recognition is truly amazing to me," he said in a press release. "I absolutely did not expect his to happen."
The Grammys will be presented on February 23 in New York.
