(andPOP) - The NBA All-Star Weekend is looking similar to the upcoming Superbowl Weekend: many high profile recording artists. The 2002 All Star Game is scheduled for February 10 at the First Union Center in Philadelphia.

Elton John has been announced as the halftime act, where he will perform "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore," and "I'm Still Standing." John will also sing "Philadelphia Freedom" during player introductions before the game.

The day before the game, Alicia Keys, P. Diddy, Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias and Lil' Bow Wow will be the musical acts at "The NBA All-Star Read to Achieve Celebration," which will also feature Carson Daly and actor Frankie Muniz.

"NBA Jam Session," a four day long event beginning February 7 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Fabolous, City High, Naughty by Nature, Warren G, Fat Joe, Glenn Lewis, Jaguar Wright, Ruff Endz, Koffee Brown, and Toya are among the performers who will grace the stage to perform, according to MTV.

Justin Timberlake and Brian McKnight will join Magic Johnson and other NBA and WNBA stars of today and the past in the first annual "989 Sports' All-Star Hoop-It-Up tournament." No word on whether this game will be televised.
