(andPOP) - Fall Out Boy have set a new world record for the most interviews given by a duo in one day.

Setting up at Los Angeles' Premiere Studio, singer/guitarist Patrick Stump and bassist Pete Wentz spoke to 72 radio stations over 24 hours, beginning at 3 a.m. PST on Friday.

Interviews lasted between eight to 20 minutes, with the two stopping only for washroom and food breaks.

They managed to surpass the previous record of 57 interviews, set in May by two New Zealanders, after just 10 hours.

This wasn't the band's first attempt at setting a world record. Earlier this year, bad weather nixed their plans to play all seven continents in nine months.

Fall Out Boy are currently promoting their new album, "Folie A Deux," which will hit stores Dec. 16.
