(andPOP) - New Pornographers frontman Carl Newman is set to release his second solo album, "Get Guilty," on Jan. 20.

Recorded under the name A.C. Newman, the record is the follow-up to 2004's "Slow Wonder" and features guest appearances from Jon Wurster of indie band Superchunk, singer-songwriter Nicole Atkins and pop duo Mates of State.

Fans will get a preview of the new material when Newman plays Brooklyn's The Bell House on Nov. 15.

Newman was previously a member of indie rock bands Superconductor and Zumpano before joining The New Pornographers. He has released four studio albums with the Vancouver-based Pornographers, with the most recent being last year's "Challengers."

The band is coming off a handful of summer festival dates, including Calgary's Virgin Festival, and will be in Australia and New Zealand next month for a string of shows.
