Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Kanye West: producer, rapper and now ... puppetmaster.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Chicago artist has teamed up with Comedy Central for a show tentatively titled "Alligator Boots," which is described as hip-hop meets the Muppets.
A half-hour pilot has already been shot, with West as host.
If a full series is ordered, the show would air in 2009 and feature a different celebrity guest host in every episode, the way "The Muppet Show" did.
The project will also feature music produced and performed by West and fellow rapper Rhymefest, both of whom are co-executive producing the pilot.
The show is backed by Jackhole Prods., the same people behind Comedy Central's previous puppet show, "Crank Yankers."
In other news, West has moved up the release date of his new album, "808s & Heartbreak."
He announced on his blog Wednesday that the record, which was originally due Dec. 16, will now be released "November something 'cause I finished the album and I felt like it ... I want y'all to hear it as soon as possible."
Lead single "Love Lockdown" is already available on iTunes.
