Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - The Geminis, Canada's annual awards show recognizing television excellence is returning to Toronto, announced the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television on Thursday.
After a two year absence, the Geminis will make its comeback to the city with the awards gala held on Nov. 28.
In 2006, the Geminis were held in Vancouver, the first time the gala was held outside of Toronto. Last year, Regina hosted the awards show.
"Toronto is a vibrant city and key production centre, home to many of Canada's finest television programs," said academy chief executive Sara Morton to CBC.
Nominations for the awards will be announced on Aug. 26 with the event being broadcast on the E! Network and Showcase on Nov. 28.
