Other performers include Burt Bacharach, You Say Party! We Say Die!, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Hot Chip and Headlights.
The festival, now in its seventh year, takes place at various venues throughout Montreal from Oct. 1 to 5.
Tickets will be available for individual shows, while festival passes are now on sale for $70.
Besides the music, other highlights of the event include films, workshops, Kids Pop (featuring activities aimed at bringing together children and artists) and a cultural fair called Puces Pop, where festival attendees can find a marketplace, seminars and even a fashion show.
Pop Montreal 2008 will also host a new literary competition for emerging Canadian writing talent, with the Matrix Litpop award going to one poet and one short-story writer.
