(andPOP) - Swann Communications, a company that specializes in security monitoring solutions, has just announced the release of its new FlashlightDVR convert surveillance device. This product combines a high power, working flashlight, colour camera and DVR (Digital Video Recorder) in one durable, aluminum alloy case.

The FlashlightDVR can record video either internally, through 128MB flash memory, or externally via an SD Card (2GB) that is sold separately from the device. The recorded video can be viewed or transferred onto a computer by using the FlashlightDVR’s USB port. The device can record in low-light conditions and can record audio using its built-in microphone.

All of the controls for the device are located on the top of the FlashlightDVR. The FlashlightDVR also features an LCD menu-display screen. The device is powered by 3 C size batteries or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. The FlashlightDVR is selling for about $500, and more information on the product can be found at www.swannsecurity.com.
