Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Fresh off a Fan Choice win at this month's NXNE Music Festival, The Midway State have announced they will release their full-length debut "Holes" in Canada on July 22.
The album will hit stores in the U.S. and Europe in the fall.
The Toronto-based foursome recorded "Holes" with Juno Award-winning producer Gavin Brown, who has worked with the likes of Billy Talent and Three Days Grace.
The band has already shot videos for two of the tracks, first single "Never Again" and "Change For You," with Sum 41's Steve Jocz directing the latter clip.
Those songs plus "A Million Fireflies" can now be heard on the band's MySpace page.
Besides touring with such acts as Silversun Pickups, Evanescence and Silverchair, the Midway State have had their music featured in "The O.C." as well as in the upcoming film "How To Lose Friends & Alienate People," starring Kirsten Dunst and Simon Pegg.
The band will play two dates in August at V-Fest UK, in between these Canadian shows:
June 29 - St. Catharines, ON @ Big Bucks
July 12 - Calgary, AB @ Flames Central
July 24 - Montreal, QC @ Les Saints
Sept. 6 - Toronto, ON @ Virgin Festival
