(andPOP) - "Law & Order: SVU" has found its new assistant district attorney, in the form of "One Tree Hill" actress Michaela McManus.

McManus' character will replace ADA Casey Novak, whom Diane Neal played for six seasons on the crime drama before departing at the end of last season.

Neal herself succeeded Stephanie March, who played assistant prosecutor Alex Cabot.

McManus is best known for her recurring role as Lindsey Strauss, literary editor and fiancée of Lucas (Chad Michael Murray), on the fifth season of "One Tree Hill."

Series creator Mark Schwahn has said she will return for at least one episode of the teen drama next season.

"SVU" kicks off its 10th season sometime in the fall on NBC, while "OTH" will premiere Sept. 1 on the CW.
