Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff End Relationship

(andPOP) - On-and-off-screen couple Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff, both from “Dancing with the Stars”, have officially called it quits.

“Karina has parted ways with her two-year relationship with Mario Lopez,” says Smirnoff's publicist, Melissa Berger. “The relationship wasn’t heading in the right direction.”

In return, Lopez issued this statement:

“Karina and I have the utmost respect for each other,” he said. “She is a phenomenal and talented woman. I support her always and feel blessed to have her in my life.”

Although the duo was photographed together on several occasions, the pair never publicly acknowledged the romance until media outlets claimed the relationship was on the rocks.

“Mario and I are fine. Everything's good,” Smirnoff then told E! News. Added Lopez: “It's all good.”
