Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - The New Pornographers will be joined by a slew of musician friends when they present the first-ever Stanley Park Singing Exhibition this summer.
Vancouver's indie darlings, who created the two-night festival in their home city, have put together a lineup that includes Andrew Bird, Stevie Jackson of Belle & Sebastian and Deerhoof.
Neko Case, Destroyer and the Evaporators, all acts featuring members of The New Pornographers, are also on the bill.
The New Pornographers themselves will headline the second night of the festival, which takes over the Malkin Bowl amphitheatre on August 31 and September 1.
Tickets, priced at $37 a day, go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
Exclusive T-shirts and other merchandise will also be sold at the event, with all the profits going to the ALS Society Of Canada and the Urban Native Youth Association.
