(andPOP) - The nominees for the 2001 Billboard Music Video Awards were announced today, and Craig David and Fatboy Slim topped the nominations list with 4 nominations each. Craig David's "Fill Me In" was nominated for best new artist clip in the pop, R&B, and dance categories, and Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" is up for best clip in the pop, modern rock, and dance categories. Both videos are nominated for the Maximum Vision Award, which goes to the video that best advances an artist's career.

Receiving 3 nominations each are Alien Ant Farm's "Smooth Criminal", India.Arie's "Video", City High's "What Would You Do?", and Gorillaz's "Clint Eastwood".

According to Billboard.com, the 2001 Billboard Music Video Awards will be a finale to the Billboard Music Video Conference to be held October 30 to November 2 at the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills, California.

The awards will be presented on November 2.
