Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz proved short engagements are becoming increasingly popular among celebrities by getting married Saturday-a little more than a month after announcing their engagement.
According to sources, the newlyweds exchanged vows at the Encino home of the bride's parents, Joe and Tina Simpson, says E! News.
“We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends,” a family rep told People magazine.
Among the 150 guests who attended were big sister and maid of honour Jessica Simpson (and her beau Tony Romo), Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, “Scrubs” star Donald Faison and Wentz’s fellow “Fall Out Boys.”
Sources have also told E! News that the 23-year-old bride and the 28-year-old groom are also expecting their first child.
