(andPOP) - Although Lindsay Lohan may have just done a gig on “Ugly Betty,” her movie prospects are not so pretty.

Lohan, who was lined up to start in two upcoming projects—a romantic comedy with Jack Black and a drama about the Manson Family—has been replaced in both films weeks before shooting was to begin.

Alison White, producer of Patriot Pictures behind Black’s movie, says Lohan was not dumped. “We have just decided to go our separate ways. We currently have an offer out to another actor.”

White would not say whether Lohan was being replaced for insurance, scheduling reasons or for her reputation for being difficult on set.
