(andPOP) - Rapper DMX, born Earl Simmons, was arrested Friday on seven misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty and four felony drug possession charges, according to the Maricopa County sheriff’s office.
Back in late August, a dozen malnourished pit bulls and a large weapons cache were found at DMX’s home in Cave Creek, Arizona. On May 9, after obtaining a search warrant, detectives seized more drugs and weapons from the star’s home who, according to police, barricaded himself inside his bedroom when authorities arrived to arrest the artist.
DMX has already been arrested once this week. On Tuesday, DMX was caught speeding well over the posted 65 mph speed limit, driving about 114 mph on a suburban freeway.
