Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Toronto indie rockers and Pee-Wee Herman - sort of - are coming together in support of the city's cyclists.
A May 29 fundraiser for the Toronto Cyclists Union will feature a screening of the 1985 film "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" at Toronto's Bloor Cinema, supported by a live cast of local musicians and other famous faces.
Those scheduled to take part include members of The Hidden Cameras, Broken Social Scene, Kids On TV, The Old Soul and The Phonemes.
Tickets are $14, with all proceeds going toward the Toronto Cyclists Union, an umbrella organization of numerous bike advocacy groups.
The union will launch next month and aims to make Toronto streets a more bike-friendly place.
