Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - A successful debut album and several worldwide tours later, Halifax rockers Matt Mays & El Torpedo are releasing their second full band album on July 8.
The foursome recorded "Terminal Romance," which will be released through Sonic Records, in southern England late last year with producer Chris Tsangarides (Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest).
First single "Tall Trees" is currently in radio rotation.
MM&ET, made up of Mays (guitar, vocals), Jay Smith (guitar, vocals), Andy Patil (bass, vocals) and Tim Jim Baker (drums), put out their first album in 2005.
The self-titled release was boosted by lead single "Cocaine Cowgirl," which was the No. 1 most added rock song in Canada in its first week of play, and a string of national tours with big names including Sam Roberts and Blue Rodeo.
Mays has also released two albums, 2002's "Matt Mays" and 2006's "When The Angels Make Contact," under just his name.
MM&ET will embark on a run of North American shows next month to back the album's release.
