Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Ron Sexsmith fans don't have to wait long to hear his newest batch of tunes: The Juno Award winner will release his tenth album, "Exit Strategy of the Soul," on July 8.
The 14-track set is the prolific singer-songwriter's follow-up to 2006's "Time Being."
The album, which was recorded in various locations including London and Havana, features horns and strings on a number of songs.
It also includes Sexsmith's version of "Brandy Alexander," a song he co-wrote with fellow Canadian musician Feist, whose own version of the track appears on her 2007 album "The Reminder."
Feist previously covered Sexsmith's "Secret Heart" on her 2004 breakthrough "Let It Die."
Sexsmith is currently wrapping up a U.S. tour with Nick Lowe and is slated to perform at the U.K.'s Glastonbury Festival in June. Canadians can also catch him in the coming months at a handful of shows across Canada.
