Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - “The Miley and Mandy Show” has acquired millions of Youtube-savvy, Miley Cyrus-addicted teen fans. But the goofy, in-your-face web show may just have one unlikely viewer: Madonna.
The string of popular Youtube videos stars teen superstar Miley Cyrus and her best friend, backup dancer Mandy Jiroux. In the show’s latest installment, Miley and Mandy orchestrated an elaborate choreographed dance battle featuring stars from the film "Step Up 2: The Streets," Adam Sevani, Channing Tatum and the film's director, John Chu. Miley even enlisted the help of her grandmother for the video.
And all of this goes down to the sound of Madonna's "4 Minutes."
Miley and Mandy (a.k.a the M&M Cru with a U) swear their video is not a rip-off of Madonna’s, which feature Timbaland and Justin Timberlake.
"We do, like, two moves Madonna has done in the past," Jiroux said, MTV News reports.
She insists the video is just the girls’ answer to a challenge made by the "Step Up 2" crew.
"[Chu and Sevani] made a video first calling us out, and we made this video responding to theirs," Jiroux told E!. "M&M Cru definitely won."
Despite the denial, the Hannah Montana star seems to have gained the attention of Madonna herself. Madonna just released her own Youtube vid, addressing fans who have recreated "4 Minutes". The video shows the pop legend cleaning up her music video set in stiletto boots.
"All you people out there who are making videos to my new single, '4 Minutes,' keep up the good work, nice job," she says in the video. Although never actually addressing Miley and Mandy by name, she goes on to say: "You've got to clean up after yourselves, all right? Because cleanliness is next to godliness."
