Report: Britney To Return To How I Met Your Mother

(andPOP) - Britney’s back. To How I Met Your Mother, that is.

PEOPLE magazine is reporting that Britney Spears will reprise her role as a receptionist at a dermatologist’s office who crushes on Josh Radnor’s character on the show.

“The show is ecstatic and so is Britney,” PEOPLE’s source said. “She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.”

The 26 year-old starlet will reportedly do one more episode but Fox studios have yet to confirm the appearance.

Her first appearance on the show received widespread praise and is said to be the start of a substantial career comeback for the troubled pop star.

“She was hilarious in the table-read, and I got to see her do the run-through as well, and she was great,” cast member Jason Segel told PEOPLE.
