(andPOP) - Sevendust's seventh studio album, Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow, will hit stores next month.

The album, which features an appearance by American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry, is due April 1.

"There was a really relaxed vibe in the studio this time around," says vocalist LaJon Witherspoon. "I think 'Hope & Sorrow' shows a different side of Sevendust. Heavy, but still growing in a direction that explores a lot of different things musically for us."

Three of their new songs can be heard on their MySpace.

The Altanta-based metal band formed in 1994 under the name Crawlspace. Legal issues forced them to change their name after a band from the west coast claimed rights to Crawlspace.

Here is the tracklist for Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow:

* "Inside"
* "Enough"
* "Hope"
* "Scapegoat"
* "Fear"
* "The Past"
* "Prodigal Son"
* "Lifeless"
* "Sorrow"
* "Contradiction"
* "Walk Away"
