Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Having conquered the west, Cancer Bats are now setting their sights on eastern Canada for a run of tour dates this spring.
The Toronto hardcore punk band will kick off the 15-date road trip at Toronto's Mod Club on April 22, the same day their sophomore album "Hail Destroyer" hits stores.
The band toured western Canada in February and early March, and were in Austin, Texas last week to perform at the South By Southwest Music Festival.
A video for the title track on "Hail Destroyer" is also in the works.
The band, which formed in 2005, were named favourite metal/hardcore group at last year's Canadian Independent Music Awards. They also took the prize for best independent video at the 2007 MuchMusic Video Awards, for "French Immersion."
