(andPOP) - The village of Pemberton, British Columbia will get a giant wallop of music this summer, when heavy-hitters including Coldplay, Jay-Z, Nine Inch Nails and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers come to town for the first-ever Pemberton Festival.

Organizers announced on Friday plans for the event, which will take place July 25 to 27 in the town of 2,200 located just outside the popular ski resort community of Whistler.

Around 50 acts are expected to perform at the festival. The line-up features an impressive contingent of Canadians, including The Tragically Hip, Sam Roberts Band, Metric, Buck 65, MSTRKRFT and Wintersleep.

Other performers will include Death Cab for Cutie, Interpol, The Flaming Lips, My Morning Jacket, Vampire Weekend, MGMT and The Airborne Toxic Event.

The event, which will take place at the foot of Mount Currie, will feature two stages, a dance tent and a "festival village." Concert-goes will be able to camp or park their RVs on the festival grounds.

Tickets go on sale March 28, with three-day passes starting at $239.50.
