(andPOP) - The soundtrack for the documentary Body Of War, will be released on March 18.

The award-winning documentary follows the story of Tomas Young, a paralyzed American Iraq war veteran. He was shot through the chest during an ambush in 2004, instantly paralyzing him from the waist down.

Young, who handpicked the songs on the soundtrack, chose ones that helped him adjust back to life at home after Iraq. Artists featured on the two-disk soundtrack include Bad Religion, Bright Eyes, Tom Waits, Pearl Jam, and John Lennon.

Body Of War won the National Board Of Review Of Motion Pictures' award for best documentary of 2007.

The documentary has been screened at international film festivals in Toronto, Miami, and Santa Barbara. It is set to screen next on March 13 at the South By Southwest Film Festival in Texas.
