(andPOP) - Today at Destination PlayStation, a meeting between Sony PlayStation, retailers, and 3rd party teams taking place right now in Arizona, Sony made a series of important announcements, the most prominent of which was the announcement that the DualShock 3 wireless controller will be coming to North America for the first time this April.

With an MSRP of $54.99, the DualShock 3 has SIXAXIS technology as well as the highly coveted rumble capability. The DualShock will be available separately or as part of the newly announce 80 GB Metal Gear Solid PS3 bundle. The bundle will include an 80 GB PS3, the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriot, and a DualShock 3 wireless controller.
