Jessica Simpson's father, Joe, has reported to ew.com that the pop princess is nearly finished making her first country record.
Yes, you read that right, her first country record. The pop princess isn't stopping there though. Joe also tells the entertainment site that his daughter is also looking at doing another reality show.
Though this time it won't be on MTV, where her reality show with then-husband Nick Lachey aired.
Instead, it will be on CMT – the country music station.
"With Newlyweds, she let everyone into her world. Then she had to shut the world out. Now she can open it up again so people can see, here's a girl struggling with self-esteem and finding her way. Country music is about storytelling, after all," her father said.
The first single from the album is expected to drop in April or May.
