(andPOP) - Joel Plaskett Emergency took home a whopping six trophies at the 20th East Coast Music Awards (ECMAs).

The Halifax band’s awards included best group recording, recording of the year and best rock recording for Ashtray Rock. Their song Fashionable People won group single of the year and video of the year. It also got Joel Plaskett a solo not for Songwriter of the Year.

Other multiple award winners were Dave Gunning, the Rankin Family and Jamie Sparks.

Held in Fredericton this year, the ECMAs are a four-day celebration of the music industry with a conference and ceremony. The event’s Sunday night gala will be broadcast March 2 on CBC.
