"The Listener", a new original series made for CTV, has just been picked up by NBC and will be broadcast in primetime.
The news comes soon after another CTV original series, "Flashpoint," was picked up by CBS.
"Two different series, two different American networks, two different producers -- one huge success for CTV's original development team," CTV.ca reports that Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels at CTV said.
"It's been an incredible week. Canadian television stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the best content in the world."
"The Listener" will shoot in Toronto and chronicles the happenings of a mind-reading man who acts on the thoughts he hears.
According to CTV.ca, NBC has ordered 13 episodes of the one-hour series.
"There seems to be a new pattern emerging at American TV networks, which have lately become more open to working with production companies outside the U.S." said Christina Jennings, Chairman and CEO of Shaftesbury Films, which produces the show.
