Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - EA announced its new cartoony arcade Boxing franchise, FaceBreaker.
FaceBreaker is being developed by EA Canada, the same studio which created the award-winning Fight Night Round 3, as an effort to add more approachable titles to EA’s product line.
"We're very excited to announce FaceBreaker, an all-new franchise from EA SPORTS that is fun, fresh and innovative," said Peter Moore, president, EA SPORTS. "FaceBreaker reinvigorates one of the great genres in sports videogames.”
The game promises to offer immersive gameplay and will include a host of unique characters each with their own personalities, abilities, strengths and weaknesses. Players will also “laugh out loud” as each blow to the face will cause damage and be illustrated in real-time.
While no release date has been set, Peter Moore hinted that, “In no time at all, you'll be picking up the controllers and knocking your opponent around the ring, smashing faces, and having a riot."
FaceBreaker will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
