Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Canadian artists Feist, Arcade Fire, and Stars are among the 10 finalists for the Shortlist Music Prize.
Their 2007 albums were part of the original 54 nominated records released in the U.S. last year that hadn't been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Of the other finalists, three are from the U.S. and two are from the U.K. Finalists from France and Sri Lanka round out the top 10.
The finalists were chosen by Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, The Killers' Ronnie Vannucci, CMJ's Rev. Moose, KCRW DJ Chris Douridas, and the hosts of Hunnypot Internet Radio.
The winner will be announced next month.
The six previous winners are Sigur Ros, N*E*R*D, Damien Rice, TV On The Radio, Sufjan Stevens and Cat Power.
