Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Veteran band Jimmy Eat World and newer upstarts Paramore are teaming up for a run of shows across the U.S. this spring.
The tour, announced Friday, will kick off in March, with dates expected to be announced shortly.
Paramore expressed their excitement to be paired up with their long-time idols.
"If it all ends tomorrow, we will be happy knowing that we got a tour with the band that gave us a reason to play music," Paramore singer Hayley Williams said in a statement.
Jimmy Eat World also had words of praise for their touring partners. "We got to know them last December while playing festivals together," said singer Jim Adkins. "They put on a great show and we think it's going to be an awesome bill."
Paramore, who are in the middle of their European tour, are up for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 10.
