Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - After Santa gifted rapper Eminem with a mean case of pneumonia this holiday season, the blonde-headed rhyme master has been stuck in his own home recuperating ever since.
The 35 year old rap artist, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, has been forced to take time away from making his new studio album to relax and get better.
"Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctor's care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia," Dennis Dennehy, the rapper's publicist, said in a report.
"He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."
The publicist offered a fair amount of information regarding the rapper's treatment in hospital, but failed to comment on the TMZ report that suggested that Em was also suffering from a heart condition that had caused the chart-topper to weigh in at over 200 pounds.
