Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - For the second year in a row, Johnny Depp reeled in the most money for movie theatres.
According to the annual survey of movie exhibitors by Quigley Publishing Co., the star of "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" is the top moneymaking star of 2007.
In 2005, Depp placed second only to Tom Cruise.
The Quigley poll, which asks movie exhibitors to vote for the top ten stars who generated the maximum box-office revenue in the last year for their theatres, has been conducted every year since 1932.
Following Depp in the 2007 survey was Will Smith, who can currently be seen in "I Am Legend." George Clooney, Matt Damon and Denzel Washington rounded out the top five.
For the first time in 24 years, a female actress did not make the top 10 list.
Shia LaBeouf ("Transformers," "Disturbia," "Surf's Up") and Ellen Page ("Juno") were named the "Stars of Tomorrow for 2007."
