(andPOP) - After disgracefully losing nearly $14 million, a.k.a. his entire fortune, MC Hammer has kept a relatively low profile since the 90's. However, this washed up rapper hasn't holed up in his Mama's apartment sitting over a tub of ice cream, longing for the days of parachute pants, feeling sorry for himself.

He and a team of web savvy engineers have been hard at work piecing together DanceJam.com, a website designed to rival the likes of Youtube when it comes to sharing personal or prime time music videos.

Considering the fact that press releases have stated that Hammer's site will be up and running rather early in the new year, combined with the yearly reports from eMarketer.com that estimate Youtube and Youtube-like sites to rake in a near $27.5 billion in 2008, Hammer might just earn his fortune back.

However, it isn't just Hammer's recognizable name that got him a place on the DanceJam team, but rather his technological skills. Apparently, Hammer, who is also known as Stanley Burrel, is just as good at programming as he is at moving his knees in a fast back and forth motion, whilst from one side of the stage to the other.

According to Hammer, there isn't anything that he 'can't touch'.

"There is no high-tech lingo or business strategy that you can talk that is above my head," Hammer bragged in an interview. "I breathe this stuff."
