(andPOP) - Led Zeppelin plans to hit center stage on 2008's Bonnaroo Music Festival.

The music legends have committed to play the American festival that is scheduled for this coming June, in addition to a rumoured world tour.

Initially, lead singer Robert Plant was not too keen on the idea of jumping on the Bonnaroo band wagon, however after many supportive posts on the band's official website, the celebrated vocalist came to his senses.

However, Bonnaroo will not be the first time that all of the original band members, less the late John Bonham, will reunite for fans. The band played a set for the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert on Dec. 10 at The O2 concert call in London, with Bonham's son Jason proudly handling percussion
