Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - It's almost award season and while Jennifer Garner may have been left off the Golden Globe and SAG lists, she's getting some high praise from her hometown.
Yesterday, West Virginia's newspaper The Charleston Gazette-Mail awarded the movie star turned Broadway big shot the title of "West Virginian of the Year."
The Charleston announced that they named Garner as their top pick for the honor because of, "her dedication, work ethic and unique role as role model and ambassador for West Virginia."
The "Alias" actress was actually born in Texas but confessed her love for her the state she calls home saying, "I like to do the things that are familiar. I like to see people I grew up with. I always go to Taylor Books. I love going home to my church - Christ Church United Methodist. I probably visit a Dairy Queen, and I love the farmer's market," reports Gossipgirl.com.
Garner's mother Pat added, "She's pretty passionate about her love of West Virginia. She just considers it home."
