Dita Von Teese a Spy?

(andPOP) - Dita Von Teese is a spy.

Or, at least, she'll play the tragic Dutch double agent Mata Hari if director Martha Fiennes (yes, she's Joseph and Ralph's sister) has anything to do with it.

Fiennes hand-picked the burlesque beauty to play the lead in the film the director penned herself. "Dita has done a little acting before and I think she can handle it," she said. "In fact, I approached her myself. She is perfect for the part."

Fiennes doesn't expect filming to start for more than 10 months, which should give Von Teese lots of time to research her character, who was executed by a firing squad during World War 1.
