'Bourne' Leads People's Choice Nominees

(andPOP) - 'The Bourne Ultimatum' is the top nominee for the People's Choice Awards, scoring four nods including favourite movie and favourite male action star for lead Matt Damon.

Up against the spy thriller for favourite movie are "Transformers" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End."

"Pirates" star Johnny Depp is also a multiple nominee, getting nods for best male movie star and favourite male action star. He won both categories last year.

On the music side, Justin Timberlake is up for favourite male singer and favourite pop song for "What Goes Around … Comes Around."

"Give It To Me," his collaboration with Timbaland and Nelly Furtado, is also nominated for favourite hip-hop song.

Other multiple nominees include Beyoncé, Fergie and Ellen DeGeneres.

Winners in 38 categories, which are voted on by the American public, will be announced at a ceremony Jan. 8 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Actress-singer Queen Latifah is scheduled to host the awards show, which is in its 34th year.

Family Movie: Evan Almighty; Ratatouille; Shrek the Third.
Action Movie: 300; The Bourne Ultimatum; Transformers.
Movie Comedy: Knocked Up; The Simpsons Movie; Wild Hogs.
Movie Drama: Disturbia; Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix; Premonition.
Independent Movie: Becoming Jane; A Mighty Heart; Sicko.
Female Movie Star: Halle Berry; Sandra Bullock; Reese Witherspoon.
Leading Lady: Jessica Alba; Drew Barrymore; Queen Latifah.
Male Movie Star: Johnny Depp; Denzel Washington; Bruce Willis.
Leading Man: Jamie Foxx; Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson; Joaquin Phoenix.
TV Drama: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation; House; Law and Order: SVU.
TV Comedy: The King of Queens; My Name is Earl; Two and a Half Men.
Female TV Star: Sally Field; Katherine Heigl; Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Male TV Star: Patrick Dempsey; Charlie Sheen; Kiefer Sutherland.
Funny Female Star: Ellen DeGeneres; Whoopi Goldberg; Wanda Sykes.
Funny Male Star: Will Ferrell; Adam Sandler; Robin Williams.
Female Singer: Beyoncé; Fergie; Gwen Stefani.
Male Singer: John Mayer; Tim McGraw; Justin Timberlake.
