TORONTO, Ont. (andPOP) - They?re as manufactured as a pop group can get. They went through televised auditions and entered the group with a guaranteed record deal. The five girls of Eden?s Crush will forever be tagged with the label of being a manufactured group, but so far they are taking it in stride.

?We can?t please everybody,? says Ivette, speaking to andPOP from the group?s downtown Toronto hotel. ?If somebody wants to say that, it?s totally their opinion. There [are] so many negative things that happen in life anyway. We just take it as someone?s opinion. We?re happy with what we do and we strive for the best."

Ana Maria Lombo, Maile Misajon, Nicole Scherzinger, Ivette Sosa, and Rosanna Tavarez form the group Eden?s Crush, the result of the US version of Popstars. Their self-titled debut album was released to North America in May.

The girls have transformed their lives from virtually unknowns to the top of the music world. How do they manage to stay grounded and not let their success get to their head? ?Being a bunch of goof balls,? jokes Rosanna.

?We?ve been given a great opportunity and we all feel really blessed,? adds Ana Maria. ?This is an opportunity that we feel has come when we were all ready and we know that these only come around once in a lifetime.?

Eden?s Crush are currently touring with ?N Sync in front of crowds exceeding 50,000. ?It?s just going to be amazing,? says Rosanna. They are very excited, and not at all nervous.

Popstars 2 is in the works for Canada and the US, and the girls offer valuable advice to the next wave of hopefuls. ?It has so much to do with your personality,? says Ivette. ?Having that really comes through.?

?When you?re on stage, that?s what people are looking at,? says Ana Maria. ?It?s not a persona. It?s you as a performer being able to relate to people and that?s what they?re looking for.?

Your Questions.

andPOP: Who is the best driver?

EC: Ivette.

andPOP: Do you have any plans for EC after the ?N Sync tour?

EC: We have 9 days off and then we go on tour with Jessica Simpson. After that, hopefully we?ll work on our own tour or go to Europe.

andPOP: Do you keep in touch with any of the girls from the auditions?

EC: Yes we do.

andPOP: If you had not made it into the group, what would you be doing now?

EC: Performing somewhere, in New York or LA.

andPOP: Is it hard to tour and not see your family for so long?

EC: That?s probably the hardest part of touring.
